Professional Development

Monthly Programs provide opportunities for professional development and frequently offer SHRM Certification continuing education credits. These events feature a variety of HR topics and guest speakers. Topics include diversity, staffing, employment law, employee engagement, personal well-being, leadership, and many more. Membership Rates

CMSHRM offers three types of memberships:

Membership is open to individuals who have a bona fide interest in the field of human resources as defined in the CMSHRM By-laws. CMSHRM reviews all applications for membership and reserves the right to deny membership to those individuals who do not meet the criteria for membership as specified in the By-laws.

CMSHRM offers a rolling membership, meaning your membership begins on the date your application is approved and payment is processed, and extends for one year. Dues may be deductible as membership in a professional association on your income tax forms. Consult your tax advisor for more information.

Professional Networking Opportunities

Join us for our monthly Networking Luncheons to network and interact with other area HR professionals. This informal and confidential setting allows members to share best practices, discuss hot HR issues, and seek assistance from colleagues who have dealt with similar issues.

CMSHRM offers other networking opportunities throughout the year. Check out the Calendar of Events to stay up-to-date on the latest happenings.  

Job Postings

Whether you are looking to hire or are in need of a position yourself, our online job board allows members to access Human Resources related job postings. All postings are positions related to Human Resources. Members and non-members are welcome to post opportunities for $50. Submit your job posting and an invoice will be sent to you for pre-payment.

This tool offers CMSHRM the ability to search for other members by name, profession, location, or company.

Volunteer Service and Leadership Opportunities

CMSHRM provides occasional volunteer opportunities within the community.

Members also have the opportunity to serve on CMSHRM committees or even as a board member. Board members are elected on an annual basis. If you are interested in serving on a committee or as a board member, please fill out the Volunteer Interest Form.

Student Involvement

Complimentary CMSHRM membership if you are a current SHRM Student member.

For non-SHRM student members, this is still a low-cost opportunity to meet and network with potential future employers!

CMSHRM student memberships provide a great way for students and employers to connect and offers students a real-world view of working in the human resources profession.
